Fall is on the way, but it’s not quite there yet. It’s still cold smoothie weather in some parts of the country, so it’s time to start using our fall produce to make some of your last chilly treats of the year.
I know what you’re thinking: don’t be ridiculous! I’ll be drinking smoothies long into December.
Of course, plenty of us will continue to guzzle green juices and protein smoothies long into winter. But a seasonal smoothie isn’t always a healthy meal substitute, sometimes it’s just a sweet, delicious treat. As for these five seasonal smoothies, these take the cake.
So let’s start with pears, one of the most underrated fruits of the season. This smoothie is full of the good stuff, and has a cinnamon kick to give it that extra taste of fall.
Or how about an apple pie smoothie, while it’s still a little too warm to enjoy that slice of pie while it’s still piping hot?
Or if you’re just looking for the spices from the season, why not try this vanilla chai smoothie, thich is chock full of cinnamon, cardamom and cloves (it’s vegan, too!)?
For breakfast, this perfect combination of pumpkin and apple should do the trick. It’s light and creamy, and it’s healthy!
But we may have saved the best for last—this pumpkin spice smoothing looks like the most delicious cold pumpkin treat of all time—and it’s mostly just pumpkin!
Yum! These definitely make me want to get my blender out.
Which one of these smoothies will you try?
