How much soda do you drink?

Probably not as much as Sarah Turner, who was drinking 4 liters of Coke per day before she gave it up.

At her highest level of Coke consumption, she weighed 245 pounds.

She decided to give up Coke when she realizes she was taking in almost a pound of sugar a day from Coke alone.

She also was tired of not being able to play with her three kids. “Not being able to play with my children was the worst thing to me—that look of disappointment in their eyes when I said I couldn’t go to the park upset me so much.”

So what happened when she dropped it? She dropped down to 126 pounds.

In fact, this soda was so responsible for her weight that she can retain her weight while still refusing to eat fruits, vegetables, or salad.

That’s pretty dramatic, and I don’t personally recommend it. Any diet meant for full-body health should include fruits and veggies. But the fact that she could cut out just one food and lose over half her body weight does mean some pretty sinister things about Coke.

According to Eat This!, when Sarah cut Coke from her diet, she cut out 424 grams of sugar from her diet PER DAY. That’s as much as you’d find in 550 jelly beans, says the food blog.

“I was most definitely addicted to Coke,” said Sarah in an interview. The caffeine and sugar were likely dragging down her energy level all day and making her want more, so it makes sense that she was addicted.

Of course, the statement from Coca-Cola was that any of their products could be healthy as part of a balanced diet.

Again, there aren’t that many people out there who drink this much soda, so it’s unlikely this dieting strategy will work as well for everyone else as it did for Sarah. But if you want to kickstart your weight loss, kicking soda is probably the best place to start.

Wow! This story is amazing! What do you think?
