Move over Crocs, a new strange shoe sensation is here.

Vibram, the makers of those strange but undeniably comfy FiveFingers style shoes, have created a new most comfortable shoe on the market.

Designed and named after Japanese Furoshiki, these shoes feature no laces.

The Furoshiki is a traditional wrapping cloth designed for transporting goods.

Taking from that, the Furoshiki shoes wrap around the foot for maximum comfort. This gives the look and feel of a custom tailored shoe for a fraction of the cost.

Vibram made their mark in the shoe world by developing their special rubber soles.

Applying this material to the wraps makes a shoe that always fits perfectly to every foot.

Blisters, sores and aches are a thing of the past. “The stretch fabric allows the upper to fit almost all foot types due to the anatomical shape of the sole.

The shoe goes on and off in seconds, allowing it to be used for all types of activities,” according to Chris Melton, director of sales at Vibram.

The shoes are currently available in Vibram’s Japanese store for $140 (USD).
