It’s been a bad weekend for pasta. If you have SpaghettiOs in your house, you may want to make sure it’s not on this recall list. Same goes for Trader Joe’s pasta.
Recalls are never fun, but luckily if you do have the affected product and haven’t eaten it, there’s almost always an opportunity to get your money back.
Campbell Soup is recalling 355,000 cans of SpaghettiOs due to a possible choking hazard.
This recall is being issued because small pieces of plastic were found in the cans. The plastic material is form the lining in the can, which peeled off into the cans in some cases.
The FDA specified that these cans should not be eaten.
The recalled cans were 14.2 oz cans of Original SpaghettiOs with a date of February 22, 2017, and a UPC code of 51000 22432.
Customers can return their cans to the store for a full refund or exchange on their cans.
In other food recall news, Trader Joes is also recalling some of their pasta. Their Butternut Squash Triangoli is being recalled for containing an allergy-triggering tree nut that was undisclosed on the ingredient list before.
The packaging is 8.8 ounces and has “Use or Freeze by” dates between 4/6/15 and 1/15/16. Customers who have bought the food have experienced allergic reactions to it, which is why it’s being recalled.
People allergic to tree nuts should not consume this pasta. As with the Campbell’s Soup recall, customers may return this product for a full refund.
