A number of batches of Nice! Peach Slices and Mixed Fruits have been recalled from stores all over the country, due to concerns of glass particles in the fruit.
According to a statement by the Milky Way International Trading Corp. posted on the FDA’s website, there has already been one “alleged injury” from a consumer who ate Nice! Peach Slices and got cut.
"Consumers could potentially be cut or injured if ingested," the company said in the recently released statement.
A spokesman for the company told ABC News that there have been no reports of injury by consumers of Nice! Mixed Fruits so far.
According to the Nice! statement, the 8-ounce glass jars of fruit were sold at Walgreens stores nationwide, and the company claims the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has already been made aware of the immediate recall.
To avoid any serious injury, consumers are being asked to return their affected products to the store they were purchased from.
