On Friday, October 7, Jared Cook, tight end for the Green Bay Packers, tweeted a horrifying photo of his order at Buffalo Wild Wings.
He’d gone to get some wings, but instead, received a full chicken head.
Many people online have responded to his tweet, offering their own shocked reactions and asking what Cook did upon discovering the chicken head.
The football player confirmed that it was, indeed, a full chicken head. “Tongue, eyes, and beak all present,” he responded to someone’s query. “With extra seasoning,” he added.
Cook did try to return his order to the staff at the fast food chain, but they didn’t seem to acknowledge his concern. “Sorry unfortunately this happens because the chicken’s fresh,” was reportedly what the staff told him at the time.
After Cook’s tweet slowly, but surely began to collect more and more attention online, Buffalo Wild Wings finally reached out with a partial, maybe apology.
When news sources reached out to the chain as well, they simply responded by saying they took their “service and quality extremely seriously and we are looking into this situation. We’ve reached out to Jared Cook and our suppliers for more information.”
Given the recent trend of people finding chicken heads and rat heads in their fried chicken orders, we think we might stay away from this particular fast food order for a while – just to stay on the safe side. We’re already disgusted as it is.
