An online user who goes by the name of Someaussiedude on LiveLeak recently shared footage of a man (whose identity remains anonymous) getting a massive tapeworm removed from his nose.
This man’s doctors are incredibly confused as to how a tapeworm made its way into this man’s nose.
Tapeworms themselves aren’t necessarily a common medical problem to encounter, but doctors have at least determined that ingesting raw meat – like uncooked pork or beef – can cause tapeworms to infest a person’s stomach.
Earlier this year, doctors in China discovered a man with a five-meter-long tapeworm in his stomach after he’d eaten raw beef and raw fish.
Another man in the UK had a tapeworm living in his brain after he’d eaten raw pork.
There has yet to be any evidence or understanding of why this particular tapeworm in this video decided to lodge itself into this man’s nose, but doctors are determined to find out
The video clip shows a man in a doctor’s office, wincing as a female doctor uses a pair of tweezers to slowly, but surely, pull a five-foot long tapeworm out of his nose.
The end gets a little bloody, so please use viewer discretion before pressing play.
