Kayleigh Marsh, 22 years old, was very surprised when her daughter Amelia was born with a head luscious with hair.
Amelia was born with so much brown hair that she was already being pampered with a good wash and a blow dry even though she’s only ten weeks old, the Mirror reports.
Marsh, who’s a mother of two, and her husband, Jonathan Lunn, nicknamed their daughter Mr. T after they tried a faux mohawk. In addition to the wash and dry, Amelia’s hair has to be oiled too just to keep it in check.
Marsh, whose older daughter Megan is three years old, said that Amelia has become accustomed to having her hair combed and slicked. Mom brushes her baby’s hair more than ten times a day.
Marsh, who’s from Nuneaton, Warks, said, “We got the shock of our lives when she came out and had all this hair. The midwife commented on it as soon as her head came out but we couldn't believe it when she was placed on my chest.”
She continued, "We weren't expecting it at all because Megan was completely bald. Comparing photos of them both as babies is hilarious. Since the day she was born it's just kept growing and growing. It's growing upwards and outwards.”
Amelia’s routine, which takes at least two and a half hours to finish, relies heavily on the oil application. The oil had to be left for two hours to settle in. Her hair has to be washed twice.
She continued, "She absolutely loves being pampered. Her little face when she's having her hair washed and blow dried is so cute.”
Marsh shared that she would occasionally hear gasps from strangers due to her daughter’s very adorable hair mop.
Marsh said, “Everywhere we go, people are stunned by Amelia's hair. Friends, family and strangers all come over or comment on it. There have been times I've gone into a cafe and she's had a hat on and when I've taken off the hat there have been audible gasps from people in the room.”
She continued, "I don't think anyone has ever seen such a little baby with so much hair before, they can't believe it. But she actually looks just like I did when I was born. She just takes after her mum."
