In Brazil, an angry mob of civilians started a fire and threw a woman on a bonfire after she was accused of killing a two years old boy, the Daily Mail reports.

A 30 years old woman was taken from the police station and yanked outside by a group of 500 raging civilians who broke down the bars of her cell. The woman was held in jail for being the primary suspect of a death of the two years old boy in a fire.

The woman was charged with arson. Another child, who’s five years old, suffered from the fire. Marlon Buzaglo Campos suffered some severe burns, according to Globo.

Ailton Campos, Marlon’s 47 years old grandfather, said that the child was taken to Polyclinic Codajas. Campos said, “He looks stable. He is accompanied by an aunt, and they are waiting to receive psychological care, he cannot sleep.” The boy will be discharged soon but still had to undergo some tests.

The police station, located in Novo Aripuana, was charged in by an angry mob. Some unidentified people set some of the cars on fire. Then, they started dragging the woman by her hair. They were about to throw her onto the flames when police officers managed to intervene.

The woman was seriously injured, bloodied, and beaten up. She was taken to the nearest hospital, although police won’t tell where for fear that the mob would follow and disrupt the hospital.

The Amazonas Civil Police Department released a statement saying: Police reinforcement arrived following the events of this Tuesday.

The Civil Police requested reinforcements from the Military Police Command (CPM), which sent a troop of full military police in Borba, a municipality 151 km away from the capital, and eight other police officers of the Command Special Police (CPE) of Manaus, by means of a chartered aircraft.

'On Wednesday members of the Special Rescue and Assault Task Force (Fera) and an expert from the Institute of Criminalistics (IC) began an investigation into the event.

The suspected woman was arrested on Monday for not only breaking and entering a house, but also for setting it on fire while seven people were still inside. According to reports, three children was inside the house during the fire.

Although she was questioned and held in jail, the woman wasn’t officially charged with arson. The locals immediately marched to the 73rd Interactive Police Department to lynch her.
