A couple believes their daughter’s unusual red birthmark will always be an everlasting reminder of the day she was conceived.

When little Poppy-Rae was born, her parents immediately noticed the unique pink-colored birthmark on her forehead.

Within a matter of days, mom Jade Sparham, 20, and dad Liam Scaife, 21, realized that Poppy’s birthmark—which turns red when she cries—was shaped like a heart.

"When I first noticed the mark on Poppy-Rae's forehead turn bright red, I was a little concerned because I didn't know what it meant,” Jade told Lincolnshire Echo. "But we were relieved to find out that the birthmark didn't pose any health problems for her."

Although Poppy arrived in November, it wasn’t until very recently that her parents realized she was actually conceived on Valentine’s Day last year.

"I couldn't believe when we spotted the heart on her head, especially after we worked out that she was conceived on Valentine's Day last year. It was such a lovely coincidence,” Jade gushed.

"It definitely makes this Valentine's Day extra special for us. Poppy-Rae is like our very own cupid baby. Now Liam and I can't stop kissing her little face," the new mom added.

Now Jade and Liam say their daughter’s distinctive birthmark is a constant reminder of their love for each other.

"I hope Poppy-Rae's mark never disappears. It's a part of her, and it makes her so unique,” Jade said. "I wouldn't have her any other way."
