Staying hydrated is absolutely essential for your health--and now that summer is getting closer, it is more important than ever.

Not only will keeping your body well hydrated make your skin soft, but it can also help to keep you regular and healthy.

Sometimes, however, we can misinterpret our bodies and think that the signs of dehydration are something else entirely. For example, dehydration can cause you feel out of focus and tired, so you might end up reaching for a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, this can dehydrate you further.

So how can you tell if you have had enough water? Simply watch out for these warning signs:

1. Increased headaches

2. Problems with digestion

3. Dry skin

4. Muscle cramps

5. Bad breath and/or dry mouth

How much water should you be drinking each day?

A good general rule is that you should be drinking two liters of water a day (or a little over 64 ounces). If you're sweating, you should be drinking even more than that, and if you eat a lot of fruit and veggies, you can get away with drinking a little less.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments!
