Crystal Enns, a teenager from Texas, went to the doctor for an annoying nosebleed problem. Maybe it’s iron deficiency or something, right?

Wrong.

As it turns out, the young girl had a rare kidney disease, and would need a kidney transplant from a willing donor. Good thing she has two loving, healthy parents who can offer those to her, right?

Wrong again.

Upon getting a kidney screening, it was discovered that BOTH parents had the exact same form of aggressive kidney cancer.

And all of this wouldn’t have even been discovered if their daughter didn’t need a kidney transplant!

All three of them are doing great now. Treatment has been effective, and Crystal was able to get a kidney from her Aunt, who was a perfect match.

The weirdest part? Even though it was the nosebleed that brought her to the hospital, it ended up having nothing to do with Crystal’s kidney disease. This was just the lucky catalyst that, thank goodness, saved the lives of a whole family.
