This Russian body builder was proud of her one-year progress. She pictures about it, excited that after just one year she’s come so far.

But her fans on Facebook were not as happy for her.

At just 24 years old, Aleksandra Rudenko released pictures in preparation for the World Fitness Championship in Budapest.  She contrasted them with pictures of her from the same competition a year before, to show her improvement.

But critics started pouring in. They pointed out that her hair color had completely changed. Once sporting a head of blonde hair, it had now gone entirely gray.

Internet users were ruthless. They called her hair “tacky” and “wig-like,” and were shocked at not just her aging hair, but her aging face as well.

They told her she was “ruining her body.” They also commented that her face had aged dramatically, as well as her skin.

It’s hard to contradict that. Looking at the pictures, it’s clear a lot has changed. Her hair looks thinner, wiry, and older. Her face does look like the face of a much older woman, and not like a 24-year-old.

It’s hard to know if it’s actually something to worry about unless you’re Aleksandra, of course. She seems to be unfazed by it.

It was shot in the middle of her prep to go onstage, she said, and the shape she was in, regardless of her hair, allowed her to win 8th place overall at the competition in Budapest.

As for her hair specifically, she says that despite how it looks, her hair is “just as fine as it was before.”
