Hostess is recalling more than 700,000 cases of sweet snacks following reports of possible peanut contamination.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, Hostess is recalling a number of boxes of Chocodiles, Ding Dongs, Zingers, chocolate doughnuts, crunch doughnuts, devil's food doughnuts, glazed mini doughnuts, maple doughnuts, and powdered doughnuts.

The massive recall reportedly includes single-serve products, multipack boxes, and bagged doughnuts.

In a newly released statement, Hostess said that they decided to announce the immediate recall "out of an abundance of caution" after its supplier, Grain Craft, informed the company of its own recall of certain lots of flour for undeclared peanut residue.

Even trace residue of peanuts may be enough to trigger a severe reaction from individuals suffering from a peanut allergy or sensitivity.

As of Monday morning, Hostess has been informed of two cases in which consumers suffered allergic reactions to the company’s products.

Those who think they may have Hostess products affected by the recall at home can find out exactly which snacks are included in the mass recall here.

For now, Hostess is urging consumers to throw out their affected products or return them for a full refund.
