The eyelash curler is a ubiquitous beauty tool for most women, but many still acknowledge that the tool itself looks rather frightening. The thought of putting it up against your eyeball while clamping delicate eyelashes is another hurdle to overcome, in and of itself.
Many “what if” situations often run through women’s minds before using eyelash curlers, and one Reddit user’s recent post only affirms our fears.
Reddit user, Aub3912, shared photos documenting her latest nightmarish experience with an eyelash curler.
She was in the middle of curling her right lashes when she suddenly sneezed – and pulled half of them out.
It was just as painful as it sounds.
“I really thought I ripped my eyelid in half,” Aub3912 wrote online.
The poor woman even went as far as sharing more photos for everyone to see.
Thankfully, Reddit user Aub3912 seems to be doing fine and recovering well after this experience.
Some helpful Redditors have been kind enough to offer not just consolation, but tips on how to keep the eye debris-free, even without the defensive line of lashes, and how to help the lashes grow in faster.
We hope Aub3912 hakes a quick and full recovery!
