Anna Wurtzburger, a 64-year-old widow and grandmother from New York, is filing a lawsuit against Kentucky Fried Chicken for “false advertising.”

Over the summer, Wurtzburger saw one of KFC’s ads on TV, encouraging customers to get their family-size bucket of fried chicken.

According to Wurtzburger, the ad depicted a bucket of chicken that was “overflowing with chicken.” “They say it feeds the whole family,” she added.

But when she went to get one of these buckets for herself, the result was not at all what she expected.

“I came home and said, ‘Where’s the chicken?’ I thought I was going to have a couple of meals,” she explained to The New York Post.

She claims that the restaurant only gave her “half a bucket…and it doesn’t feed the whole family.” “They’re small pieces!” she cried.

Wurtzburger was incensed enough that she called up the KFC headquarters in in Georgia to complain about their misleading ads.

The company, however, explained that they’d filled the buckets that way “so that the public could see the chicken.”

Wurtzburger didn’t buy this, saying the company could have plated their chicken “in a dish.”

She’s now hired a lawyer and is filing a lawsuit against KFC for its false advertising. The company sent her two gift certificates as mea culpa, but Wurtzburger simply sent them back.

Right now, Wurtzburger is asking the company to pay $20 million in damages; the KFC meal was supposed to be a rare treat for her, as she usually lived off Social Security checks.

KFC thinks this entire situation is “meritless.”

Stay tuned for updates at the lawsuit continues.
