The people of the internet have found terrifying tooth extraction videos, courtesy of the Benex Extraction System, a tooth extraction tool company based in Sweden.
In this video, a dentist using the aforementioned tool is removing a patient’s front tooth. The reason is currently unknown, but experts who’ve viewed the video speculate that the man’s tooth has decayed to the point where it has to be removed – root and all.
The procedure begins, if the title of this being a “painless” extraction holds true, with the patient receiving sedatives through direct injections.
The actual extraction process begins as the dentist begins to make a small cut around the base of the tooth, allowing it to become loose before another tool is used to pull it out of the socket.
Once the tooth is removed, the dentist continues to attack the empty space, now using a drill to dig into the gum to remove the roots of the extracted tooth. During this process, blood can be seen appearing on the neighboring teeth.
This drill slowly digs into the gum before it finally removes a three-centimeter long root from the gum, and out of the patient’s mouth.
Dentists who have seen this video reassure their patients that their personal teeth extraction procedures will be laid out in full detail before they’re actually performed.
