For whatever reason, it seems like celebrity moms are always in the line of fire for something or other. Maybe it’s because they have more money, more hired help, or just something that we all want, but whatever the reason, they mommy-shaming never seems to end! We always hope that moms will come together and help one another, but unfortunately, it seems that more often than not, some mothers just want to tell other parents what they’re doing wrong.
Some famous parents catch flack for kissing their kids on the lips (David and Victoria Beckham), while others are under fire for not buying the perfect food for their little ones (Jenna Kramer), but this time, superstar singer Pink is the one getting bullied for cooking with her kids.
Just a few days ago, the pop star mama shared a photo on her Instagram page of her cooking up some veggies with her two little ones in the kitchen. Pink’s 6-year-old daughter, Willow can be seen perched on the counter watching her mom at work, while her 7-month-old son Jameson is strapped to her chest.
She captioned the cute picture “Dinner time”. No sooner did Pink post the photo than the mommy shamers start flooding the comment section, lecturing the 37-year-old mom for putting her children in danger.
Many of the mamas in the comment section warned Pink that wearing a baby while using a hot stove is way too dangerous.
“Cute photo but please don't cook wearing the baby. I've read some really horrific stories about terrible accidents that have occurred doing this” one of Pink’s followers wrote.
"Personally I wouldn't hold my child in front of me while cooking, I'd hold them to the side away from the flame and anything popping up at me but that's her child and if an accident happens that's hers to go through." said another.
Thankfully, Pink’s fan base jumped online just as quickly to defend the mother-of-two, saying that she was doing a great job and is an excellent multitasking parent.
“Excellent a mother who is showing and teaching her children what real life is all about.” one fan wrote.
“Such a beautiful thing being with and teaching your children. Being a mother is hard enough, time to strengthen each other.” another comment read.
“Reminds me of myself cooking with two kids under five. Got to multitasking. I give props to mommas that involve their children in cooking no matter what age.” a supportive mom said.
Pink isn’t one to keep her mouth shut when it comes to haters and controversy, but it seems like she has this mom thing under control, so she probably isn’t letting the shaming get to her one bit.
