Whether you have one kid or five children, motherhood is a full-time job. Things like running to the grocery store or trying to clean the house can turn into an all out war when you have little ones running around. However, if you ask pretty much any mom out there, you’ll quickly find that there’s nothing more rewarding or worthwhile to them than being a parent.

Courtney Lester is a mom to three adorable kids, and while sometimes things may get hectic, she couldn’t be happier to be raising her little ones. While on a trip to Wal-Mart, Courtney had a baby strapped around her chest, one tyke in the cart’s child seat, and another kid sitting in the cart itself. Courtney was minding her own business while she shopped with her three kids, but a stranger felt the need to step in and offer their opinion on her life.

"I feel sorry for you,” the stranger said. “You have your hands full with all those kids”. In a passionate letter to the stranger on Facebook, Courtney detailed the perfect response to the stranger’s comment.

First things first, Courtney pointed out in her photo that her hands were not, in fact, full. Thanks to the baby strapped to her chest, Courtney was actually hands free!

“What you can't tell is that I lost 2 babies before being blessed with my last 2, so if you want to feel sorry for me, there's the only reason why you should.” She continued.

“My children are blessings. They aren't perfectly modeled citizens because, well, they're children. Sometimes they're loud, sometimes they misbehave, and sometimes they have complete meltdowns.” Courtney admitted. “However, you didn't even see that side of them. What you saw was a young couple with a 4 year old singing a song, a 2 year old sitting quietly in the buggy, and a newborn sleeping in his baby carrier. If that is your definition of having your hands full, I feel sorry for YOU.”

Courtney knows that her kids have their moments when they are a handful, but points out that on that particular day, her 3 little ones were extremely well behaved.

“The truth is, I do stay busy. Some days, I can't wait for bedtime. My children keep me on my toes and one of them always needs something, but I have never viewed them as an inconvenience or a reason for someone to "feel sorry" for me.” she went on. “Even on days when they won't listen, have meltdowns, and when it seems like nothing I do is good enough, I have never felt sorry for myself and I don't expect others to either.”

While Courtney can’t deny that motherhood has its ups and downs, she wouldn’t have it any other way. So, she as one final message to the stranger from Wal-Mart: “never feel sorry for me because my heart is more full than my hands could ever be.”

What do you think about Courtney’s post?
